PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS AND DECREES---24
BY GOD’S GRACE, I WILL DAILY SHOW MERCY TO OTHERS
1. Our Lord Jesus has said, “Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.”
Therefore, by God’s grace, I will daily show mercy to others.
In this way, I will reap what I sow, and will receive mercy from God and from man.
(Matthew 5:7; Galatians 6:7)
2. Therefore, I will be merciful to others, just as God is merciful to me and to all men.
I will not show mercy reluctantly or grudgingly, but I shall do it joyfully, willingly and wholeheartedly.
I will obey God’s command to love showing mercy to all men, and take the opportunity at all times to show mercy to others.
(Luke 6:36; 2 Corinthians 9:7; Deuteronomy 15:10; Micah 6:8)
3. Therefore, I will always forgive those who have sinned against me, no matter how great the wrong that was done to me.
In this way, God will forgive me my sins and answer my prayers.
However, if I do not forgive others their sins, my Father in heaven will also not forgive me my sins.
(Mark 11:23-25; Matthew 6:15)
4. I will show mercy to the poor and needy.
I will seek justice for the oppressed and afflicted.
I will care for the widows and the fatherless.
I will be kind to the foreigners in the land.
(Deuteronomy 15:7-8; Isaiah 1:17; James 1:27; Leviticus 19:34)
5. If I have material possessions and I see a brother or sister in need, I will not be hard-hearted or tight-fisted towards them.
Rather, I will be open-handed and freely lend to them whatever they need.
And when I lend to them, I will not harass them to return the money given, but will expect nothing in return.
Because I do this, Yehovah my God will bless me in all my work and in everything I do.
(Deuteronomy 15:7-8; Luke 6:35; Deuteronomy 15:10)
6. If I have material possessions and I see a brother or sister in need but have no pity on them, the love of God is not in me.
If I say to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and be filled," and yet I do nothing about their physical needs, I have done nothing good, and my faith is dead.
(1 John 3:17; James 2:15-17)
7. If I shut my ears to the cry of the poor, I will also cry myself and I will not be answered.
Judgement without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful.
Mercy triumphs over judgement.
(Proverbs 21:13; James 2:13)
8. When I show kindness to the poor and the oppressed, I am lending to Yehovah my God, I am doing good to Jesus my Lord.
And I will be rewarded for what I have done.
(Proverbs 19:17; Matthew 10:42; 25:34-40)
