There are 2 main types of video conferences. Content providers in which you pay for them to VC with your kids. This is usually led by a content expert and costs money. The other main type is class to class where the teacher or facilitator has constructed an activity to do with the students. Houston Zoo video conferences are offered through Connect2Texas.  Search for their programs by choosing them from the provider list.

New York Hall of Science
Visit and interact with the New York Hall of Science from your school or learning center using the latest videoconferencing technology. A Virtual Visit Program consists of exploration of selected areas of the New York Hall of Science's exhibits, demonstrations and activities illustrating science concepts.
