About the Books...
These books consist of step-by-step tutorials that will guide the student through the drawing of an architectural project. The Quick and Easy Guide to Learning Autodesk® Revit® 2015 and 2016 books guide the student through three two-dimensional drafting projects and a three-dimensional model of a two-story residential house. The Commercial Drawing Using Autodesk® Revit® 2015 book project is a one-story commercial building. The Commercial Drawing Using Autodesk® Revit® 2016 book project is a two-story commercial building. The tutorials for all of these books are written with a minimum of extra information and explanations. Instead, the student will receive basic instruction that will allow them to create the model, details, renderings, and construction documents for the structure.
The drawing units used for the Residential and Commercial projects are in Imperial (Feet & Inches) units. If you are purchasing the book for use outside of the United States, please verify that the projects are compatible with the Architectural drafting & design standards for your country.
Click here for the YouTube channel for the books. Please visit the Book Samples page for examples of both books.
There are many excellent books out there that will teach you the Revit program. The goal of my books are to make this process as painless and as interesting as possible. The book tutorials have been tested under classroom conditions and are in a constant state of improvement.
About the Tutorial Videos and Support Files...
Tutorial videos and Revit family files and are available for use with the textbook. These files consist of videos that show the step-by-step procedures of the textbook projects. To access the videos and support files you will need to purchase either book and have a Google Account. To request access for the demonstration videos and support files, please click here. The support files include custom title blocks and family files to be used when working through the tutorials. Rather than send out a DVD with the book, the student will be able to access files that are updated regularly through this site.
