Ubuntu one indicator

To check the status of ubuntuone (connected, etc) do:
u1sdtool -s 
It will print something like:
State: QUEUE_MANAGER
    connection: With User With Network
    description: processing queues
    is_connected: True
    is_error: False
    is_online: True
    queues: IDLE
To check the current transfers (upload/download) do:
u1sdtool --current-transfers
It will print something like:
Current uploads:
  path: /home/marcos/Ubuntu One/Imagens/Flames/legendary-trap (cópia).jpg
    deflated size: 49724
    bytes written: 0
Current downloads: 0


 

GUI (Graphical User Interface)

Install the ubuntuone-indicator that will provide some info on the tray area. In Ubyntu 11.10 and earlier use this:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rye/ubuntuone-extras

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ubuntuone-indicator
In a terminal, start the indicator with: 
ubuntuone-indicator

Check y
our startup folder if the Ubuntu-one indicator will be started on boot. It should read an entry with
/usr/bin/ubuntuone-indicator

You could also add a starter in your menu or on screen.
On Ubuntu 12.04 install the indicator with this command instead and then logoff and logon again.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:rye/ubuntuone-extras
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install indicator-ubuntuone
