"Stitching binds us together in friendship and shared skills".

Welcome to the "In-Spire Stitchers" of Salisbury.  About 50,000 people live in Salisbury and its local villages, in South Wiltshire.  Many individuals and groups in the area enjoy a wide range of sewing-related hobbies such as patchwork and quilting, knitting and embroidery.  The "In-Spire Stitchers" Group was formed in January 2005, to provide a forum for all local enthusiasts to meet, to develop projects, arrange lectures, demonstrations and visits, and hold occasional exhibition.  It can be thought of as an umbrella group for the smaller house groups around the area.

The group is friendly and about 50 people are currently regular members.  We welcome new members.  We also welcome guests to join us at our meetings.  You don't have to be an expert as we welcome everyone, from beginners to the more experienced.

We meet on the second Wednesday of every month (except August) in St George’s Church Hall, Harnham, Salisbury, Wiltshire at 7.30pm.

Our meetings are relaxed and varied and during the year we include at least five professional speakers. We also have working evenings, show and tell, demonstrations and charity projects.  Traders are also often present.  We maintain a large library of craft books that members may borrow.

Our Annual Membership fee is £30.  Visitors are required to pay £4 at our working meetings and £6 at the meetings when we enjoy presentations by expert speakers.

Potential members are welcome to contact us for a copy of our constitution.
