INSCO - Innovation in Sourcing Competencies (2011 - 2012)

INSCO – Project (Innovation in Sourcing Competencies) is a publicly funded research project conducted at Aalto University (

In our project we are researching and developing new models in co-operation with companies' parallel development projects and based on benchmarking. Our aim is to enhance and accelerate supplier collaboration especially during the new product and service development. INSCO
has two focus areas: consolidation of world class practices and developing new sourcing practices. Project is delivered through six work packages which are conducted in close collaboration with the participating companies and international research partners.

Research is being carried out together with researchers from Meraka Institute /CSIR , RLabs in South Africa, TanzICT in Tanzania, Tokyo Tech in Japan and Kasetsart University in Thailand. And it is funded by participating organizations and TEKES - The Finnish Technology and Innovation Fund. (
