Computer Classes Available 
Salt Lake County Computer Access to Technology (CAT) Labs
The Redwood and Central City Community Center CAT labs have some classes in Spanish.  Anabel Olguin
is a lab instructor at Central City who speaks Spanish.  Her email address is molguin@slco.org and her phone number is 385-468-1563. All four Community Center CAT labs have computer classes in English.  Calendars and addresses of CAT labs can be accessed here.

Granite School District
The Granite School District offers classes that can be completed in only five months. Granite School District has a partnership with the Technological Institute of Monterrey in México. There is a fee of $20 for the student and the district pays for the rest of the cost. They provide online instruction in Spanish and incorporate computer terminology in English through ESL classes taught by a certified teacher. Continuing Education
The Granite, Salt Lake, Murray, and Canyons School Districts offer computer instruction in their evening community education classes.  Contact “community education” or “adult education” in your school district for more information.  Some of the classes are offered in Spanish. Most classes run for six to eight weeks and cost between $30-$60.

Resources for Computers
Comcast offers internet service for $9.95 a month to low-income families that qualify. They also offer low-cost computers and free internet training.

Computer use at the Salt Lake County library is free for up to 2 hours a day. For more than 2 hours there is a $1 guest fee. Library addresses and hours can be found here.

You can also access computers to check e-mail, fill out job applications, etc. at the CAT labs
