Vinturi Wine Aerator

The device itself is attractive, compact and solidly built. It appears to be a simple oblong plexiglass "funnel" with a rubber grip. There are two small channels in the center of the funnel.  Wine is poured through the top of the funnel, and immediately a suction sound is heard as the pouring draws air into the wine before it escapes out the bottom of the funnel. The aerator is easily held and shouldn’t spill. It comes in an attractive package and nice holder.

With our test group of friends and customers we noticed a significant improvement in the quality of the wine when poured through the Vinturi, as opposed to drinking from a glass without decanting. The flavours seem more blended, the finish is less acidic, and overall a more pleasant experience.

I believe this thing works.  It’s quick and easy to clean up and offers an alternative to decanters.

Instead of pouring wine and letting it sit from minutes to hours, all I do is pour it through the channel and listen to the whistling   Now, what about white wines. Well for the collector there is a white wine version and a spirit version, for myself, I’ll save the money and just use the red wine version for all my wines.  Personal choice, I’ll put the extra cash to more wines…

THERE'S A LOT OF ENGINEERING IN THERE

When wine is poured in the Vinturi, its internal design creates an increase in the wine's velocity and a decrease in its pressure. This pressure difference draws in air which is mixed with wine for perfect aeration.

BUT WHAT REALLY MATTERS IS VINTURI'S EFFECT ON WINE

 BETTER BOUQUET

Sample the nose. You'll appreciate the subtle aromatic differences and the full aroma of the wine.  Vinturi allows wine to display its intended aromas.

 ENHANCED FLAVORS

Go ahead, take a sip. Vinturi's wine tastes better. It is more flavorful and has better mouth feel. It tastes like a richer, more expensive wine. It tastes like it was intended to and is more enjoyable.

SMOOTHER FINISH

Ahhhh. Vinturi's aeration is very effective at softening tannins which results in a much more pleasant finish. Any bitterness or bad aftertaste is reduced or eliminated

Cost: $40, compared to Amazon, wineries and Chapters at $55+.
