The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime-veterans service organization.  Ingalls-Koeppen Post 102 is The American Legion for the Town of Walworth, Wisconsin, including the villages of Fontanta, Walworth, and Williams Bay.  The Post was officially incorporated in 1935 and is a 501(C)19 tax exempt organization.  We are 
committed to mentoring youth, sponsoring wholesome programs in our communities, advocating for patriotism, honor, and strong national security, and we continue to advocate and care for our fellow veterans.  

Commander:  Joan Sallee

Peter Kahl is a Navy Veteran of the Lebanon and Grenada war-time era.  Peter is a Native of Walworth Township, growing up in the village of Williams Bay.  He currently lives in the village of Walworth, where he is an Elementary School teacher.  Peter has served as the Commander since 2001.
