Hello and welcome to our info page for the 2016 ISCRAM Workshop "Informal volunteers in crisis management: best practices, chances and limitations". We will treat this site as the primary source of information and updates from us, the organisers, to participants. For interaction and collaboration we will use a Google+ Community called ISCRAM 2016 - Informal volunteers workshop.

The objective of this workshop is to discuss different approaches to managing informal volunteers and grassroots movements. The outcome of this discourse will be drafted into a white paper on best practices, chances and limitations. A more detailed description of the topics we will be discussing is available in the "Topics" section.

If you have an interest in the topic of informal volunteers and want to discuss solutions and lessons learned, we encourage you to participate. Whether you are a researcher, industrial partner or professional in crisis and disaster management, you are welcome to join us in this effort to reflect on the current state of the art and best practices. More information on how to participate can be found in the "Participation" section.

  • Site Created! We have created this basic info site as single source of information and announcements regarding our ISCRAM 2016 workshop. From now on, we will use our G+ community only for interactive discussions regarding the workshop. We felt that a dedicated website would be better suited for presenting clear and concise information than an interactive format. From now on, we will keep you up to date on recent developments regarding the workshop under this address.
