I am an Associate Professor in Economics at LMU Munich, and further affiliated with the CEPR, the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration at UCL, and a member of the Regional Economics Committee of the German Economic Association. I completed my PhD at the Department of Economics and the Centre for Research and Analysis of Migration at University College London. Prior to joining LMU Munich, I was an Assistant Professor at Stockholm University.

My main fields of interest are Applied Economics and Labor Economics at the intersection to Urban Economics. My research predominantly focuses on the Economics of Local Labor Markets, in particular on how shocks affect local labor markets. I’m also interested in advances in applied methods in economics. My work mostly involves the handling of large datasets. For more information on my research, see here. More information about me can be found in my CV.

In 2022/23 I will visit the Vancouver School of Economics at UBC (Sept-Dec 2022) and the Department of Economics at UC Berkeley (Jan-Mar 2023).
