Missions

Operation Christmas Child:

Our goal in 2013 was to collect 300 boxes.

The goal for 2014 was to collect 500 boxes.
The goal for 2015 is to collect 500 boxes.
The goal for 2016 is to collect 600 boxes.

Operation Christmas Child is a year round event. To help meet our goals we will have ongoing and specific collections this year:

March: Glue Sticks, Crayons and Coloring Books, and Solar Calculators
April and May: Boy and Girl  Toys

June: Boy Clothing

July: Girl Clothing

August: School Supplies

September: Soap and other hygiene items

October: Monetary Donations to help defray the cost of shipping boxes packed during the mass packing project!

Items can be dropped off in the white boxes in the narthex.

Don't forget to write a letter and/or send a picture when you pack your box. Children feel the love from these personal items. Sometimes they respond.

In October we will have a Shoe Box Packing Party with the items that were collected throughout 2016.

Area churches, organizations, athletic groups, women's social groups, and school classrooms are invited to join us.

Monetary gifts are also accepted.

Pine Valley Camp:
Pine Valley Camp is located near Ellwood City, PA.  Established 18 years ago, this camp invites children to camp that come from broken homes and broken lives.  Pine Valley is supported by volunteers throughout many counties.

Independent Methodist Church missions donate monetary gifts, but also have groups that go there periodically to help with mailings.  There are many ways you can volunteer your services.  Age is not an issue.  They find work for males and females of any age!

Mission funds are supporting Bill and Debbie Bosley from the Beaver Falls area.  They are stationed in Senegal West Africa.  They express their appreciation for every way we at Independent Methodist Church touch their lives.  Newsletters and emails are received monthly.

"Without you, we would not be able to live and work in Senegal.
Without Jesus, we would not have a reason to be here!
We are eternally grateful to Christ and what
He has don for us, and we are so grateful
to you for your prayers and sharing with us,
so that we can share His love in Senegal.
God Bless you!
Merry Christmas & A Blessed New Year!
Celebrating Jesus our Savior!"
