The Group has the objective of advancing the education of the public in the history, culture and heritage of Inchinnan and surrounding area.

At the nine meetings of the year we plan to have speakers on varied subjects and will also hold outings to places of interest.

The group has been fortunate in receiving funding grants from a number of charitable bodies inclusive of the HLF allowing us to purchase recording and display equipment to carry out our projects.

We have successfully completed our first major project "Inchinnan Farmlands to Erskine Community" which can be viewed on YouTube and historypin.org.

Other projects such as Inchinnan's First World War memorial have also been completed.

At present the group is concentrating on All Hallows. The archaeologist Dr Heather James of Northlight Heritage and Inchinnan Historical Interest Group have teamed up to carry out the project. For more information contact Inchinnan Historical Interest Group.

A warm welcome is extended to everybody with an interest in local history and meeting with like minded people. We hope to increase our membership this year building on our successes.

Meetings- Held at 7.00pm in the Session House at Inchinnan Parish Church on the last Thursday of each month unless specified. There are no meetings in December, July or August.

Membership Fee - £10.00 per Session
