I am an Associate Professor of Economics at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. My research interests span a wide range of topics in economics, including macroeconomics, economic development and growth, international economics, institutional economics, international/regional migration, and political economy. My work has been published in journals such as World Development, European Journal of Political Economy, The World Economy, Southern Economic Journal, Economic Modelling, and Contemporary Economic Policy.


Aside from my research, I am also passionate about teaching. My primary teaching interests include macroeconomics, development economics, and economic growth. I teach these courses within the Department of Economics. Moreover, I teach Forecasting and Time Series Models and Applied Econometrics for the MS Applied Data Analytics program. These courses incorporate innovative statistical and machine learning models, bringing cutting-edge data analytical methods to students.
