The basic plan will be to cover core concepts in integrability. There is much more material than can be covered in one semester so some choices need to be made. The aim would be to spend the first couple of talks on the “classical” results for classical and quantum integrability, such as the Liouville integrability, Yang-Baxter equation, Bethe ansatze and then look at the recent progress.
1. Classical integrability
2. Braids, knots and links
3. Yang-Baxter equation
4. Quantum algebras
5. Spin chains and Bethe Ansatze
6. Lattice models of statistical mechanics
7. Integrability in Gauge and String Theory
The course are primarily designed for master and PhD students, and will introduce an audience to the state-of-the-art in classical integrability, exactly solvable lattice model, integrability in gauge theories and some related topics. We will also try to discuss related open problems and organize working groups on new projects.
We will assume knowledge of classical and quantum mechanics, basics of statistical mechanics. We are quite happy to review any standard university material related to the topics of our course.
