About
I am a Professor of Economics at Royal Holloway, University of London. I earned my Ph.D. in Economics from Northwestern University in 2010.
My research interests lie at the intersection of Macroeconomics and Labor Economics. I study general equilibrium models of individuals and firms and how their behaviour is affected by different policies. I work with large administrative datasets that include millions of individuals and/or thousands of firms, as well as household surveys from multiple countries (incl. UK, US, Latvia, Denmark). My recent line of work looks at this in a development context as well, focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). My research involves intensive data work and computationally demanding estimation.
I teach Principles of Economics, Macroeconomics, and Economics of Inequality at the undergraduate level, and Labor Economics at the graduate level.
