Measures of central tendency can help us summarize the “typical” amount of time your students watch TV on Saturday] or find the “representative” age of teachers in your district. There are three most widely used measures of central tendency depending on what you want to find out: the average age, the middle age that divides the data into two equal-sized groups; or the most common age. These three measures of central tendency are the mean, median, and mode.
