BUSINESS CLIMATE CHANGE AND SOCIETY: BRIDGING THE SUSTAINABILITY DIVIDE

The student body of the Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal is organizing a two day conclave 'Coalescence'16' on 12th and 13th Nov 2016. One of the most prominent event of the Institute, Coalescence seeks to imbibe values of environment responsibility, economic viability and human justice to create environmental solutions for problems pertaining to varied areas. Coalescence'16 will provide an opportunity for multifarious stakeholders to meet, discuss and exchange new ideas, and showcase new advancement in the fields of environment and development sectors through keynote addresses, panel discussion and competitions.
Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC) of Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is organizing its flagship event - "DAKSH-2016" a National Level Business Plan Competition on 12th of November. With this event, EDC aim to bring in start-up enthusiasts and budding entrepreneurs with social and environment convivial outlook under one roof. The goal of this event is to foster, promote and support innovators and leaders with social entrepreneurial talent by providing them a platform for open dialogue.
Climate Change and Environment Core Competency Cell (C2EC3) is conducting a national level competition "Extension Plan for Rural India to Mitigate and Adapt to Climate Change” which would require developing an Extension plan for rural India to help the farmers to prepare for climate variability and uncertainty (Flood, Drought etc.) The team should approach issues of sustainability by examining problems from multiple perspectives, involving aspects of sociology, the environment, economy and technology.
‘Yogakshema: A CSR model competition’ is the flagship event of the communication cell. It provides a platform giving you a golden opportunity to exhibit your managerial skills and talent to build an implement CSR model which suits best to the needs of the company.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Ravindra Pastor, Commissioner Ujjain. He was also the chief guest to the program. He had discussed various models involved in the market of agricultural produce.
