Iian Smythe, PhD

I am a Postdoctoral Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

I completed my PhD under the supervision of Justin Moore at Cornell University in 2017. Previously, I was a Hill Assistant Professor of Mathematics at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ.

My research is in set theory, mathematical logic, Ramsey theory and their interactions with functional analysis and linear algebra.

I have recently started a blog about mathematics and teaching.
