This week we will cover the events required for the assembly of the nervous system.
Today we will start with an overview the week and then we will cover in detail the molecular events for axonal outgrowth and axonal targeting.
We will cover how synapses are formed.
In the afternoon we will have a paper discussion. We will discuss the following papers.

2-5 pm:Ana Godinho - intro to axonal outgrowth in cell culture. In the lab: isolation and culture of olfactory bulbs of developing mice.

1-3pm: Joshua Corbin-Cell migration/Repair strategies

2-5 pm: Ana Godinho: observation of axonal outgrowth in cultured olfactory bulbs
