International Footprint Association
North Bay Chapter #15

Serving Marin, Sonoma, Napa & Solano Counties

Our Purpose

Our Association is non-profit and promotes and encourages fellowship, respect, cooperation, and helpfulness between all arms of law enforcement (local, county, state, and federal) and all others (individuals, business persons, and professionals) who are sympathetic with and understanding toward law enforcement and all its agencies.

Other goals are to promote the welfare and enhance the happiness of our members and communities and to champion the true spirit of Americanism.

Many of our chapters are involved in supporting civic activities. Some of the things we do are:

  • Aiding charitable works,
  • Sponsoring Boys and Girls Clubs for sports and other activities,
    and particularly the
  • Awarding of scholarships to young people interested in law enforcement and related fields.

Our slogan, "Bigger and Better Footprints", relates to the both the symbol and purpose of our organization. Our symbol, Robinson Crusoe finding Friday's footprints on the beach, depicts the beginning of a relationship that ultimately leads to excellent cooperation between Crusoe and Friday.

This type of cooperation between everyone involved in law enforcement and all law enforcement agencies, as well as private citizens, business and professional people, was the goal of the original eleven Footprint organizers back in 1929.
