Ieva Unda is a contemporary artist, born in Latvia and now living in Atlanta, GA, United States.
Ieva’s works primarily in watercolor with Latvian, American and European landscapes as her main focus. Ieva’s strong sense of color is evident in all of her artworks and especially in her abstract compositions. With works in collections in Spain, Germany,France, Denmark, Lithuania, Austria, Poland, Italy, Iceland, England, Sweden, Finland, Australia, Canada, United States of America and UN – Switzerland, Ieva is a contemporary artist with international renown.

Paintings is something I must do and it’s a major part of my life!
I love flowers, books, music and art!

I was born in May 18, 1973 in Rezekne, Latvia.

I have been painting and making  tapestries since 1992.

My first exhibition was held in 1994 in Aalen (Germany), together with my father Janis Unda (1928 – 2000), a famous Latvian watercolor artist and other artists from Latvia. "Janis Unda. Akvareli" published this year by the Culture Center of Latgale, includes color reproductions of watercolors by my father and a short biography in Latvian, Russian, English and German. From 1994 until 2002 my works were displayed in different    countries.

I came to United States in May 2002, settling in Georgia near Atlanta.

Since April 2003 to the present my works have been displayed private and group exhibitions in America: Brenau University – Gainesville, Gertsev Gallery – Atlanta, FOX Theater – Atlanta, Heaven Blue Rose Contemporary Art gallery – Roswell, Chianti Village Restaurant – Roswell, Tiffany Tea Room – Marietta, Blackshear Library  - Oakwood, Urban Body Fitness – Atlanta, East Point Festival, Pine Lake Octoberfest, Artist XPlosion – Atlanta, GA Transplantation Event - Atlanta, West Coast Song Festival - Ventura, CA.

I studied in Art College in Rezekne (Latvia) (1988  - 1992) in textile design department, Art College in Reykjavik (Iceland) (1995) in exterior and interior design department, in Academy of Art in Riga (Latvia) (1993 – 1996) in interior and exterior design department. I earned BA is in Art history from University in Daugavpils (Latvia) ( 1998 – 2001).
