The 4th edition of the Symposium on Network Cloud Computing and Applications, to be held in Munich - Leibniz Supercomputing Center of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences and Humanities - on June 11-12 2015, builds on the success of the previous editions till 2014. The conference is devoted to promoting the diffusion of research results in the area of networked applications and cloud computing. The perspective of the conference is oriented to the study of how distributed applications and distributed platforms, or even their support, can be designed or reshuffled and/or optimized in order to take full advantage from cloud technologies. The conference focuses on both architecture/protocol design and quantitative studies and assessments.

Submission categories

All manuscripts must be written in English. Several categories of papers are considered:

Traditional Categories
  • full papers, which must not exceed 8 double-column single-spaced pages IEEE conference style  (inclusive of figures, tables and references) - up to 2 additional pages can be purchased in the conference proceedings;  
  • short paperswhich must not exceed 4 double-column single-spaced pages IEEE conference style  (inclusive of figures, tables and references) - up to 2 additional pages can be purchased in the conference proceeding.
Full papers are expected to present research results which are demonstrated to be robust in terms of their theoretical foundation and/or via experimental analysis. Short papers are expected to provide research results at their early stage, which have however already reached a level of maturity leading them to be of interest for the community.   

Additional Categories
  • fast abstracts, which must not exceed 1 double-column single-spaced pages IEEE conference style  (inclusive of figures, tables and references) - no additional page can be purchased in the proceedings;
  • position papers, stating results from challenging research projects (e.g. FP7 EU projects, HORIZON 2020 EU Work Program 2014-2015, EU Future Internet, European Research Counsil (ERC), Germany Research Programs in the area of Cloud Computing) in the area of Cloud Computing, these must not exceed 8 double-column single-spaced pages IEEE conference style  (inclusive of figures, tables and references);
  • workshop papers, these submissions will be considered as part of a special track of the NCCA conference on topics related to Future Internet and Cloud Computingthese must not exceed 8 double-column single-spaced pages IEEE conference style  (inclusive of figures, tables and references);
  • posters and work-in-progress contributions, which can be formatted in a truly poster-style or as sequence of slides - these will not be included in the proceedings, but will be shown in a poster/work-in-progress session at the conference. Please submit them by sending it directly to the program chair via email).
For each accepted paper or fast abstract or poster/work-in-progress, at last one author must register and attend to the conference.

All the submissions
 must describe original unpublished research. All accepted papers or fast abstracts will be published by Conference Publishing Services. Please prepare the final version of the manuscript to be submitted using the templates available here (except for posters, which can be formatted according to any rule). Manuscripts must be submitted in PDF format electronically via the EasyChair system here.
