I was born in Marilândia-ES Brazil, on March 30th, 1980. I have received both my Master degree in Computer Science and my Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from the Federal University of Espírito Santo, Brazil. I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, in 2013. I am currently an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Turin, in Italy.

Short Bio: 

Dr. Idilio Drago is an Associate Professor at the University of Turin, Italy, in the Computer Science Department. His current research interests include Internet measurements, network security and big data analytics. He is particularly interested on how big data and data science techniques can help to extract knowledge from traffic data, to secure networks and to automate network management tasks. He was a Postdoc Researcher (2014-2016) and an Assistant Professor (2017-2019) at the Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He was a Visiting Researcher at the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Brazil in 2019. Drago holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Twente, the Netherlands, and a Master's degree from the Federal University of Espirito Santo, Brazil. He was awarded an Applied Networking Research Prize in 2013 by the IETF/IRTF for his work on cloud storage traffic analysis.
