Marcy P. Driscoll is the Dean of the Florida State University College of Education. She is also the Leslie J. Briggs Professor of Educational Research and a professor in the Instructional Systems and Educational Psychology programs within the Department of Educational Psychology and Learning Systems at the university. She is also Past-president of the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT). Dean Driscoll is the author or co-author of seven textbooks and an edited research handbook in learning and instruction and has published numerous articles in professional journals on learning and instruction theory. Her book titled Psychology of Learning for Instruction won the 1995 Outstanding Book Award in Instructional Development from AECT. In addition, she has earned a number of awards in recognition of excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
