  • Level 4 Boys (& Girls) will be visiting Congregation Or Chadash of Tucson on Sunday April 1rd, 2012 to share talks, food, and get to know what they do there. More detail will be posted soon Insha'Allah.
  • New curriculum is being designed
  • This class is run workshop style and aims at instilling religious and civic values in the youth. On many occasions visiting lecturers offers additional material to the children.  
  • Starting year 2011/2012 the WS started offering Karate classes to the youth with Teacher Abdullah Islam.
Class Description:

Because of the age and knowledge gaps, this class is grouped into three smaller groups to facilitate learning.







Level four (team three) syllabus
Arabic and Quran

In Level 4 Boys  (Team 3) students will learn Arabic script and reading. They will learn the alphabet and then have some practice reading the Qur'an.  In addition, they will memorize surat Annaba' and Annaziaat  النبأ والنازعات. By the end of the academic year they will have learned how to read Arabic and they will have memorized the two aforementioned Suras, Insha' Allah.

 Generalization

The team will learn the general meaning of Surat Annaba' and Annazi'at, and will memorize both Suras . In addition, the children will learn how to read and write in Arabic with some basic grammar rules with the focus on Quranic words. The children will learn some supplications for their everyday life based on Hisn Amuslim booklet by Qahtani.

 Second Semester

Week one:

  1. demonstrative pronoun 'hatha' with some words mentioned in the Qura'n like 'Kitab' and 'Qalam'
  2. The supplication after 'Wudoo'
  3. Explaining the general meaning of 'Surat Annaba' for the first time.

Week two:

  1. Demonstrative pronoun 'thalek' with some words like 'masjid' 'bayt'.
  2. The supplication when getting out of one's home.
  3. Repeating the general meaning of Surat Annaba'.

Week three:

  1. The definite article 'al' with some words like 'alqamar' and 'alshams'
  2. The supplication when entering one's home.
  3. Repeating and explanation of Surat Annaba' and getting the children to start thinking about the meaning and giving the meaning by themselves.

Week four:

  1. Qmari and Shamsi letters.
  2. The supplication for entering the Masjid.
  3. Going more into details with Surart Annaba'.

Week five:

  1. Propositions 'ala' on and 'fee' in' interrogatives 'ma' what' and 'man' who'.
  2. The supplication for leaving the Masjid.
  3. Repeating and Going more into details in Surat Annaba'

Week six:

  1. Iddafa in Arabic with some new words such as 'bayt' and 'qamees'.
  2. The supplication when going to bed.
  3. Getting feedback from the children about the meaning of 'Surat annaba'

Week seven:

  1. Demonstrative 'hathihi' with some words such as 'bint' and 'ukht' bakara'.
  2. Supplication at the time of calamity 'karb'.
  3. Starting with 'Surat' Annaziat'.

Week eight:  

  1. Demonstratives 'hatha' hathihi' thak' tilka' with some words such as 'namla' 'assa' stick'
  2. The supplication when facing difficulties 'man istas'aba amra'.
  3. Repeating  'Surat' Annaziat'

Week nine:

  1. Examples of adjectives.
  2. The supplication before and after eating food.
  3. Explaining the general meaning of Surat Annaziat'.

Week ten:

  1. Feminine and masculine nouns.
  2. What to say when sneezing and how to respond.
  3. Repeating and getting the children's feedback about the interpretation of  'Surat Annaziat'

Week eleven:

  1. Examples of  imperative.
  2. What to say when seeing an afflicted person 'mubtala'.
  3. Going more into details about Surat' Annazi'at'.
