7th International Colloquium on Tourism & Leisure

    Welcome to the website of the International Colloquium on Tourism and Leisure (ICTL). We are pleased to announce our seventh conference in Bangkok, Thailand, from 4-7 August 2014. 

    We are now accepting submissions in any area related to tourism and leisure, such as: the international tourism industries, eco-tourism, space tourism, women in tourism, theories of tourism, sex tourism, exploitation, phenomenological approaches, tourism and the environment, health tourism, tourism and risk, developments in the travel industries, ethnography of tourist attractions, tourism and globalization, sports studies, tourism and the life-course, ethnography of leisure, and papers that address the cross-over between tourism and leisure theory and research.

    Submission Deadline: 15th May 2014.

    All submissions will be refereed, and accepted papers will be included in the official conference proceedings, which will have an assigned ISBN number.

    Venue: We are very pleased to be holding the conference at the Ramada D'MA, Bangkok, Thailand, an excellent hotel in the center of the city. 

    Dates: 4-7 August 2014. Registration is from 4-6 pm on  4 August in the reception room.


    Regular: 490 US dollars.

    Full-time postgraduate student: 320 US dollars.

    The fees include conference attendance, lunch and coffee for the duration, and one copy of the conference proceedings.

    Hotels: Accommodation in Bangkok is plentiful and caters for all budgets. We recommend you stay at the conference venue, the Ramada D'MA
