Using iPads, mobile phones, and iTouch, we completed a scavenger hunt in the library and then created QR codes. Some of the clues in the Winter scavenger hunt were created by Fall Tech Club.
Programs we used for creating QR codes:
Kaywa QR Code - can generate a QR code for url, text, phone number or SMS
Goo.gl url shortener and QR code creator
QR voice - generates QR codes from synthesized voice message
QR code reader we used: Red Laser, available for both Apple & Android smartphones and tablets.
Don't have a smartphone or tablet computer? You can read QR codes on a computer if you have a web camera and a program like QuickMark. This is installed at the Children's Desk if you would like to see how QR codes work or do our scavenger hunt.
