ICON MUSIC STUDIOS MUSIC LESSONS POLICY

Welcome to Icon Music Studios! We're committed to providing a great learning experience. To ensure everything runs smoothly, please read our studio rules carefully. Your understanding and cooperation are greatly appreciated!

Lessons & Materials

• Lesson Cycles: Each lesson cycle includes 12 one-hour lessons.

  • Regular Lessons (1x/week): Must complete all 12 lessons within 90 days (approximately 3 months) from the start of Lesson #1.

  • Homeschoolers/Weekdays/2x a week: Must complete all 12 lessons within 60 days (approximately 2 months or 9 weeks) from the start of Lesson #1.

• Location: All lessons are one-on-one and face-to-face at our studio. We do not offer or authorize in-home services from our teachers. Please advise the administrator immediately if you encounter this situation.

• Instruments & Books:

  • Please bring your own instrument (e.g., guitar, practice pad, drum sticks, violin) to class. A Drum set and a piano are provided at the studio.

  • Students must bring their own lesson books. We do not stock or sell books, and teachers are not authorized to sell them. 

• Attendance Tracking: Our administrative staff tracks attendance via Google Calendar, which sends notifications and monitors your lesson count.

Absences & Forfeitures

We understand that sometimes you can't make it to class. Please be aware of our policies to avoid forfeiting lessons:

• 24-Hour Notice Required: To avoid forfeiting a lesson, you must notify the Administrator by a Direct Message (DM) at least 24 hours before your scheduled class.

• Forfeiture Reasons: A lesson is automatically forfeited if:

  • You are a no-show for your scheduled class.

  • You do not advise the Administrator at least 24 hours in advance.

  • You message or call on the day and hour of your class.

• Absence Limit: You are allowed 3 absences per cycle for any reason. After your third absence, the fourth and any subsequent missed lessons in that cycle will be automatically forfeited.

• Cycle Completion Deadlines:

  • Regular Lessons: Must complete all 12 lessons within 90 days (approximately 3 months) from the start of Lesson #1.

  • Homeschoolers/Weekdays/2x a week: Must complete all 12 lessons within 60 days (approximately 2 months or 9 weeks) from the start of Lesson #1.

• "Sick" or "Illness" Absences:

  • Advisory Message: You must still provide a 24-hour advance advisory for your absence.

  • Doctor's Certificate: A doctor's certificate or note is required upon your return to class.

• No Freezing Beyond Limits: We do not allow "freezing" of classes beyond the 90-day or 60-day cycle limits.

• Injuries: If an injury or sudden illness prevents you from attending, please alert the Administrator immediately.

  • Advisory Message: Provide a 24-hour advance advisory for your absence.

  • Doctor's Certificate: A doctor's certificate is required upon your return.

Transfers & Special Circumstances

• Lesson Transfers: We do not allow transferring unused lessons to another person.

• Instrument Changes: Enrollee may transfer to a different instrument after completing 6 lessons on your currently enrolled instrument.

• Emergencies/Force Majeure: In the event of unforeseen circumstances like accidents or the death of an immediate family member, please alert the Administrator immediately and advise how long you'll be away within your course length. The missed lesson will automatically carry over.

• Teacher Absences: If a teacher is absent, the Administrator will notify affected students via SMS, email, direct message, or phone call. Any lessons missed due to a teacher's absence will automatically carry over.

Acts of God / Calamities / Strikes

• Icon Music Studios follows mandates from the National Government, Quezon City Government, and DEPED during extreme weather (typhoons, earthquakes), calamities (floods, pandemics, fires), or organized strikes.

• We reserve the right to make decisions in such cases and will inform students and teachers as soon as possible via SMS, email, direct messages, or phone calls. Please ensure your contact information is accurate and up-to-date.

Studio Announcements & Payments

• Given our strict attendance policy and the cycle-based structure, please be aware that we do not offer refunds for any missed or forfeited lessons, including those due to Acts of God, strikes, or calamities. We encourage you to plan your schedule carefully to make the most of your learning experience with us!

• Posted Announcements: Please check the Bulletin Board within the studio premises regularly, as important announcements will be posted there. It is both students' and teachers' responsibility to read these advisories.

• Accepted Payments: To ensure proper documentation, we will only accept payments for Music Lessons via our payment partner PAYMONGO. Only Band Rehearsal payments will be accepted via e-wallets GCash or Maya.
