ICLC8 Third Circular (20 Jan. 2017)

[Greek version]

Dear colleagues,
It is with great pleasure that we inform you that the selection of the papers for the 8th International Contrastive Linguistics Conference (ICLC8) has now been completed. Out of the 150 abstracts submitted, around a hundred were selected on the basis of the reviews provided by the members of the Scientific Committee. The fact that most of the abstracts were of a high scientific level made the final choice a hard task for us, but at the same time it gave us the feeling that this will lead to a very productive conference.

We kindly request that you confirm your participation in ICLC8 by 5/2/2017 at iclc8.conf@gmail.com.
We would like to inform you that the conference fees are 80 Euros (EUR) if you register by 15/3/2017 (early registration) and 100 Euros (EUR) if you register after that date. In the next circular you will receive further details about the payment of registration fees.

We would also like to draw your attention to the following matter in relation to your accommodation. The conference will take place during an extremely high season for the city of Athens (25-28 May 2017). For this reason. the Organising Committee has already made arrangements with a local travel agency and has pre-booked affordable accommodation in specific hotels, which can be viewed at http://signaturegreece.com/product-category/cons/

Therefore, it is extremely important that you book your accommodation via the specific website by 28/2/2017. The Organising Committee will have no further involvement in this matter, but it should be pointed out that if you go for the recommended accommodation, you will have a quality and affordable solution together with a number of other delegates.
More information about other conference issues will follow in the next circular.

We look forward to a productive conference in Athens in May.

Best regards,
The ICLC8 Organising Committee
