Manager, HNA Centre of Future Data Ecosystem

Research Associate in Computational Biology

I completed my PhD in the Computational Network Biology research group at the Department of Computing, Imperial College London, under the supervision of Dr. Natasa Przulj in 2014. My Ph.D project was funded by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) Research & Development Ltd., and I was collaborating with the Computational Biology department of GSK Pharmaceuticals R&D at Stevenage.

My research interests focus on large-scale network analysis, translational research data management and decentralised ecosystems. I joined the Data Science Institute in 2014 as a Research Associate, and have been working on EU major biomedical research projects including the IMI Unbiased BIOmarkers in PREDiction of respiratory disease outcomes (UBIOPRED) project and the European Translational Information and Knowledge Management Services (eTRIKS) project led by Prof. Yike GuoCurrently I am the manager of the HNA Centre of Future Data Ecosystem, a research lab aiming at promoting theory and technology innovation in the field of data economy, especially Blockchain and Smart Contract technologies.

I served as the local chair of the 2015 International Conference on Brain Informatics and Health (BIH 2015), the local chair of the 24th SIGKDD Conference on Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD 2018), and the organising chair of the 1st International Conference on Mathematical Research for Blockchain Economy (MARBLE 2019).
