"Ask the Doctor" is managed by Dr. Dionna Mathews, a resident at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center.  

Dr. Mathews works closely with I CARE in delivering prevention education lessons to young people in grades K-12 with an emphasis on medical concerns, consequences, and outcomes.

Once each week, Dr. Mathews will respond to questions about substance abuse and related issues on the community message forums below.  Post your substance abuse prevention related questions in the forum and visit later for her responses.


Biography


Dionna Mathews, MD is a resident physician in the Our Lady of the Lake Pediatric Residency Program. She received her B.S. Degree from Xavier University of Louisiana and went on to receive her Medical Degree from Southern Illinois University School of Medicine. Upon completing residency Dr. Mathews plans to practice as a general pediatrician.
