Post 711 Celebrates it's 72nd Birthday
Post 711 celebrated it's 72nd birthday on 15 April 2021 with a
dinner held at the Post.  Dignitaries present for the dinner were
Department Commander James Kessler, 2nd District Commander
Roger Norfolk, Blue Grass Mayor Brad Schutte, Blue Grass Fire Chief
Brian Seamer, Blue Grass Police Chief Garrett Jahns and Blue Grass
Elementary School Principal Sara Gott.

Department Commander James Kessler (far right, white hat) addresses

2nd District Commander Roger Norfolk (left) presents a certificate to
Rolan Alvarez (center), as Post Commander Mike Salter (right, blue hat) and
Department Commander James Kessler (right, white hat) look on.  Rolan won
first place at the Post level in the 5th Grade Flag Essay Contest.  His essay then
went on to place first out of 777 submitted essays at the District level.

Legion Post and Auxiliary Unit 711 will hold their
next meetings on 20 May.
Both the Legion and Auxiliary
will meet at 7 PM.

Post 711 will hold a breakfast on 5 June from
7 to 10 AM.  This will be a dine in and carry-out breakfast.
