The Iowa Driftless Chapter of Trout Unlimited is based in Decorah, Iowa and represents six counties in northeast Iowa (Winneshiek, Allamakee, Howard, Fayette, Clayton and Chickasaw).  The name of the chapter, Driftless, refers to the unglaciated areas of northeast Iowa, southeast Minnesota, southwest Wisconsin and northwest Illinois.  This area was left untouched by the last glacier drift through the northern tier of states and boasts limestone bluffs, rolling hills and spring fed trout streams.  The Driftless chapter was formed in 2000 with the goal of improving the cold water fisheries of northeast Iowa.
The Driftless chapter meets at 7pm the first Thursday of each month (October though May) in the lower level of T-Bocks in Decorah, IA.  The meeting usually entails some business items, a presentation on a subject related to water stewardship or health and concludes with a fly tying demonstration by a member of Driftless.

SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2015 at 7:30am.  The Driftless Chapter of Trout Unlimited will have a stream clean-up day.  We will meet at the South Bear DNR campground 1 mile east of Highlandville on Quandahl Road around 7:30.  We can carpool from this staging area and try to pick up litter in the parking areas and stream banks along North and South Bear Creeks and Waterloo.  The rough plan is to spend a couple hours working and still have time for fishing.  Hopefully there will be a good Hendrickson hatch!  We have garbage bags and a couple tools for pulling cans out from tight spots.  Bring any grabber type tools you might have, gloves and chapter flyers or business cards to promote our upcoming May 2 fundraiser.

Trout Unlimited Driftless Chapter's annual fund raiser will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 5 - 9 pm.  Our fundraiser will be held in the Danan Lansing Building on the Winneshiek County Fairgrounds this year!

MAY Trout Unlimited Driftless Chapter meeting will be Thursday, 7th, 2015 at 7pm in the basement of T-Bocks.
