Welcome to the Homepage of The First International Workshop on Hardware Oriented Cybersecurity (HwSec2018), December 19-20, 2018, Hanoi, Vietnam. In the last decades, integrated circuits (IC) fabrication process and design technologies have developed quickly so that the integration level has reached the number of billions of transistors on a single chip. This would provide a great opportunity for us to implement new applications and processing techniques. ICs are used for consumer applications such as house appliance, telecommunications, transport or entertainment and in critical domains such as military, guidance application, health, banking, etc. Therefore, the issue of safety and of security for information system (including hardware, firmware and software) is becoming emerging, especially in the context of the today orientation forward smart cities and Industrial Revolution 4.0. This workshop aims to open a new forum for experts, researchers and industrial companies to share knowledge, solutions and collaboration opportunities in the field of cybersecurity, especially in hardware oriented security.
