Mission:

The Minnesota Conservation Corps is a non-profit organization that operates natural resource work programs for youth and young adults.

Our mission is to provide hands-on environmental stewardship and personal development experiences for young people ages 15 to 25.

Among their activities, corpsmembers build bridges, log shelters, trails, and campgrounds; improve wildlife habitat; plant and maintain forests; conduct vegetation inventories; stock and survey fish; and perform fire suppression and other emergency response work. Corpsmembers are also involved in community service projects such as environmental education with local schools and developing outdoor learning classrooms.

Corpsmembers receive a living allowance and training in career development, citizenship and life skills, natural resource management, and environmental awareness. In 1995, MCC became affiliated with the AmeriCorps National Service program.
