January 17, 2009 Astrophysics Course at the graduate center The Ph.D. Program in Physics will offer in the Spring 2009 semester a course on Astrophysics. This doctoral level course will be taught by Prof. Charles Liu at The Graduate Center, at a graduate level appropriate for a doctoral qualifying exam. December 3, 2008 Sign up for SPS Membership costs $20, and you get 2 great physics magazine/journal subscriptions for 1 year. It's totally worth it. November 7, 2008 Goldwater Scholarship can pay for you to attend school and do research. f you are sophomores and juniors with an interest in Science, Math and Engineering careers, The Goldwater Scholarship can pay for your Hunter education in your junior and/or senior years! This national prestigious scholarship pays $7500 to support your research project in the natural sciences and Mathematics. To apply you must be nominated by a Hunter faculty member and have a minimum 3.0 GPA and an interest in conducting undergraduate research. November 2, 2008 SPS and Sigma Pi Sigma Membership We just got a registration package from SPS, and we are going to have an SPS registration drive starting Monday. We will also soon have a meeting about how to make the most of our SPS membership.
