Hi, I am Hung-Yi, a PhD candidate advised by Prof. Luca Carloni, at the Department of Computer Science, Columbia University. My general research interest lies in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) of System-on-Chip (SoC). My dissertation will focus on agile CAD methodologies for system-level design-space exploration.
Prior to my PhD study beginning Fall 2010, I worked for 2 years at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), where I developed methodologies for 28nm/45nm low-power design and Design-For-Manufacturability (DFM). Even before, I completed 1-year military service as a second lieutenant in the R.O.C. Army.
Now I live with my wife, Melody, in Manhattan. We are both Christians. In 2012, we were blessed to welcome our first son, Ryan.
