He has participated in numerous mid-distance races across Alaska and around the world since 1998. The 'Gypsy Musher' is a northern nomad seeking to explore as much of this earth by dog team as is possible. In 2013 he was the 1st Alaskan to participate in Norway's world renown Finnmarkslopet race finishing in 6th place earning his team the 'Rookie of the Year' award. Hugh has a kennel in Tok, Alaska consisting of some of the finest canine athletes on the planet. The 'DAWGS' also happen to be his closest buddies. We're not just a dog kennel- WE are a Canine Community. Each year we live to play on and explore new trails with our furry friends leading the way.
