Pagoda Tree Press
Pagoda Tree Press is an Independent Publishing House, producing a highly specialised range of books on the History of India, Tibet and the Himalayas; with a particular emphasis on the History of Photography in that region.
Founded by Hugh Rayner in 2000; as an offshoot of his Antiquarian Indian Book business, we also republish a variety of rare and unusual historical works on the Himalayas: early Travel Guides, Route Planners, Maps & Pamphlets, important historical & reference works, long out-of-print travel writing from the Himalayan region, as well as newly written histories of Indian Hill Stations.
By taking advantage of the latest digital printing techniques; we are able to produce short, yet very high quality, print runs of books, that it once would have been uneconomical to republish using traditional printing methods.
We are continually producing new titles every few months, and are steadily building a substantial catalogue of important reference works
Pagoda Tree Press also imports, distributes and retails a range of books on India & Asia by other publishers; sourced by us from India and elsewhere. Some of these are very limited quantities of otherwise out-of-print titles.
