Events & Meetings


Hucknall Heritage Society meetings :-
Our regular meetings take place at Central Methodist Church in Baker Street, Hucknall on the 2nd Monday of the month from January to May and from September to November. We usually hold an annual History Day during July and we do not normally meet during June, August or December

The meetings generally take the form of an entertaining and educational talk or presentation by a knowledgeable speaker who will cover a subject which will be relative to the history or heritage of Hucknall and the surrounding area. They start at 7:30pm and last until approximately 9:00pm and you are welcome to join us where you will meet a friendly group of locals and newcomers to the area who are all passionate about preserving and enjoying our rich past. There is a small admission fee to cover our costs (currently £2 per person) and annual membership of the society costs just £5 per year.

Hucknall Local History Group meetings :-
These meetings usually take place prior to the Heritage Society meetings at Central Methodist Church from 6:00pm-7:15pm. During the months when the Heritage Society does not meet, the meetings will be held at a committee members house

Hucknall Family History Surgeries :-
Are held on the first Saturday of the month from 10:00am till 12:00 noon at Hucknall Library in South Street, and are run by volunteers from the Hucknall Local History Group
