Exploring London

The group meets monthly to visit a place of interest in London. Unfortunately we are no longer able to find free visits every month, but we try to choose places with low entrance charges. The day of the week varies to enable more members to attend.

Our numbers also vary. Last year (2015-16) the lowest number was 7 when we visited Fenton House in Hampstead to see the garden and collection of antique keyboard instruments. Afterwards we asked where there was a good local cafe and were directed to 18th century Burgh House, which we found not only had delicious lunch snacks but also housed an art gallery and Hampstead local museum, What an unexpected bonus!

The highest number was 27 for the Epping to Ongar Steam Railway trip when the sun shone as we ambled though a cornfield to the Saxon church for our picnic.

Please see the HU3A What'sOn for details of the next outing.
