FAQ
How do I get helped by tutors from the Tutoring Desk? Tutors are available in the library during most study hall periods. Look for a sign with purple text on it that says "HSS Tutoring Desk." If you don't find anyone, fill out the form on our "Need Help?" page and we'll connect you with an appropriate tutor for the subjects you need assistance with!
How do I sign up to tutor? Interest meetings are held at the beginning of each marking period for new tutors. Email us at southtutoringdesk@gmail.com to find out when the next one will be held.
About Us
The High School South Tutoring Desk is an independent, student-run help desk at South that is open in the library during study halls (unless otherwise specified) to provide any help with homework, tests, and academics in general. All of our tutors, who receive community service hours for helping their peers, are volunteers who have already taken the courses and understand the material, so they know what to expect from different classes and different teachers. We understand that the South workload is not an easy task to handle, so we are here to provide help to those who need it!
