Introduction: My Project is about the Photoelectric Effect. The Photoelectric Effect is when electrons in a metal surface is loosed and broke away when struck by a high-energy source. It was first discovered when Heinrich Hertz did early experiments on the spark-gap generator in 1887. The concept was further revolutionized when Albert Einstein theorized light as being comprised of a wave-particle duality.

PBL Driving Question: Why does a negatively charged metal plate lose charge if a UV light is shined on it?
