HS_GH2ChromaFix is the Pixel Bender Plugin for Adobe After Effects.

This plugin fixes footage which had been captured with Panasonic DMC-GH2 and Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle. Currently this plugin is in beta, I removed some features (sharpness and offset control and some sub-pixel calculation etc; therefore they did't work to improve image quality) which are still under studying.
I tested only GH2 manufactured for US and Japanese market, I mean my GH2 has NTSC(60i) HDMI output and not sure how it works in 50i mode.

NOTICE: This plugin for Hyperdeck Shuttle1's Apple Uncompressed format. I don't checked DNxHD and ProRes format with Hyperdeck Shuttle2 yet. Depends on my experience with ProRes and AfterEffects, AE automatically applies kinda sub-pixel filter to ProRes format. Probably this plugin won't work properly.

Place plugin file in your PixelBender folder or After Effects Plugins folder and restart After Effects.

System Requirement
After Effects CS5 and 5.5. (And probably CS4 - Not tested yet)
MacOSX and Windows.

IMPORTANT: This plugin doen't support After Effects CS6 because Adobe had discontinued to support Pixel Bender.

You can find the latest version in 'Download' page.

Just append 'HS_GH2ChromaFix' effect (which is being in 'HS_Effect' category) to your footage. The effects doen't have any parameters. It seems quite simple but the footage have to been processed 'Remove 3:2 pulldown' in advance.

For Developers

If you think you can develop better plugin, you might use part or all code under BSD licence. I think It means there's no limitation about redistributing (even it doesn't have to be an open-sourced).
