Welcome to my website! In this activity you will see how single displacement reaction works and occurs. Placing aluminum foil into different substances including, Copper(II) chloride, Copper(II) sulfate, and Sodium chloride, will display the single displacement reaction. Copper is formed after the reaction occurs with Copper(II) chloride, clearly showing the end result of the reaction. Being that this reaction happens when an element reacts with a compound, eventually forming a new compound, leads us into my driving question: Will Al (aluminum) displace Cu (copper).
