Utilization of Hawaii-Specific Publicly Available Data Sources Competition
The Regional Educational Laboratory for the Pacific Region (REL Pacific) and HPERC are sponsoring a competition for education researchers in Hawai‘i who are interested in conducting research using publicly available data sources.
The purpose of this competition is to promote the use of Hawaii-specific publicly available data and the exploration of research questions aligned with HPERC's Priority Research Topics.
Five finalists will receive technical assistance from REL Pacific during the development of their research projects and will be given an opportunity to present their findings at the upcoming HPERC Educational Research Symposium in December 2014. In addition, the competition winner will be invited to co-present with REL Pacific staff at a Pacific region conference.
For more information about the competition, see the "Competition Information," "Concept Paper Components," and "Using Available Datasets Flyer" documents below.
To support the development of concept papers, REL Pacific has developed guidance materials, which are available here: https://sites.google.com/site/hpercinfo/data
The competition is now CLOSED. If you have any questions, please contact Shelby Maier at firstname.lastname@example.org.
