1. بررسی کمیت و کیفیت پسماندهای پزشکی شهر شاهرود (برای دانلود فایل کلیک کنید)

Introduction: Solid wastes of medical offices and clinics in many cities still are not well managed which it can put community and environment at risk due to releasing dangerous pathogens. This study was conducted to survey quantity and quality of produced waste in medical offices, clinics and laboratories in Shahroud city.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, guidelines of source separation and reduction of waste were presented for personnel of studied healthcare service centers involved in solid waste collection, and solid wastes produced before and after implementation of source separation and reduction project were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. In this study tow surgery and general medical offices, 10 dental offices, 5 medical laboratory and 5 clinics were studied.
Results: The mean of total solid waste produced before and after implementation of source separation and reduction project were 112.98 and 105.93 kg/day, respectively. The mean of total and infectious solid waste after implementation of the project compared to before implementation of project which reduced up to 6.24 and 14.9 kg/day, respectively. The non-infectious wastes increased 7.85 kg/day after implementation of project. The overall decrease in amount of infectious solid waste was 10.42%.
Conclusion: The results of study showed that in addition to reducing the total solid wastes, implementation of source separation and reduction project can cause proper management and source reduction of infectious wastes; therefore, it was resulted in reduction of costs of collection and lead to safe disposal.

Introduction: The nutritional value, tasting and other desirable features of ice cream well known to everybody. Nevertheless, it can be a good source for a variety of human pathogenic bacteria. This study was performed to the evaluation bacterial contamination of traditional ice creams produced in Aleshtar and Kuhdasht cities, Lorestan province.
Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 40 samples were taken using systematic sampling method from 20 production centers of traditional ice cream in Aleshtar and Kuhdasht cities of Lorestan during summer season. All samples were analyzed in terms of enumeration of total bacteria, the presence Escherichia coli, Salmonella Spp., Staphylococcus aureus and Enterobacteriaceae according to the Iranian national standard. Data were described and analyzed with SPSS 19.0 software using analytical statistics of X2 and Fisher tests at a significance level of 0.05.
Results: Findings showed 53.34% and 56% of samples were contaminated with Escherichia coli and Enterobacteriaceae in Aleshtar and Kouhdasht cities, respectively. Contamination with Total coliforms, Salmonella Spp. and Staphylococcus aureus was not observed in samples. Significant relationship was found between personal hygiene and sanitation of producing or sale site of ice creams (P < 0.05).
Conclusion: According to identify the Escherichia coli and Enterobacteriaceae in samples, maintaining personal hygiene and resolving health problems in producing and selling centers of traditional ice cream can be effective in reducing and preventing bacterial contamination of traditional ice creams.

Introduction: Afghan stabilization and reconstruction efforts include agricultural development and water withdrawal, diversion, and containment projects in the middle and lower Helmand River and Hari Rud watersheds of Afghanistan. The Iranian government found these actions as undermining water security in the eastern part of Iran. The concern is particularly relevant in the region known as Sistan and Baluchestan Province, the most desolate, most marginalized, and least stable of Iran’s provinces.
Methods: This study studied done discussion on water between Afghanistan and Iran, focusing on the regional hydropolitics of Afghanistan’s transboundary water basins; Iran’s water insecurity and dependence on water originating from its upstream neighbor, Afghanistan; furthermore, the previous political negotiations over the waters of the Helmand watershed, factors affecting future water availability in the region including population growth, agricultural expansion, and climate change surveyed, too. At the end tried to highlight how Iran’s attempts at balancing its economic and political interests––interests that are conflicting at times––have collided with reconstruction projects for Afghanistan’s water sector.
Results: Concentrating on Afghanistan’s water-based development projects, the article concludes by outlining a five-part strategy to address the transboundary water issues.
Conclusion: The strategy recommends developing monitoring systems and databases, identifying historic hydrometeorological baseline data, building capacity in water management and irrigation efficiency, creating an international support network for negotiations, and establishing a transboundary commission.

4. ارزیابی و بهینه سازی مسیرهای جمع آوری پسماندهای شهری شهر نورآباد لرستان (برای دانلود فایل کلیک کنید)

Introduction Mechanizing and optimizing the solid waste collection and transportation systems can be affected on the environmental effects and handling costs. To reduce the adverse effects and to optimize the solid waste management, it is necessary the existing system such as Noorabad solid waste collection systems be evaluated and better condition be suggested.
Methods: This study was conducted in the North West of Lorestan province, Noorabad. Some part of data was obtained from field studies. Real-time data was collected from existing routes in the city using a stopwatch. By mathematical and software (Excell), collected data were analyzed. Then, according to the local information such as population density, waste generation capita, routes and also the application of mathematical relationships, the optimum routing vehicle was designed.
Results: Referring to results, the optimize way was selected and the results showed the vehicle costs and shift workers have been reduced about 25 and 50%, respectively. The result of present study is suggested that the 78 storage tanks with a volume about 550 and 660 liter for residential and commercial areas.
Conclusion: Based on the results of present work, it can be asserted that where are the optimum rout of collection system regarding to reduce the handling costs and time and higher level of servicing.
