Good birding websites

The following websites are fantastic portals for all sorts of birding information: - one of my favourite sites for birding (and other wildlife) information in UK, it has an excellent regional listing, lists birding equipment shops that have websites and includes a daily rarity bird report. - for a massive worldwide birding resource, good for suppliers - an online birding community, that includes: web email, photo gallery, birding blogs and lots more

Online bookshops - spend £5 on eligible items and p&p will be free                                     - extensive natural history stock. Often more expensive than other online bookshops, but it does often have sales - extensive stock, an innovative company which leads the way in sound - occasionaly beats Amazon on price. If you are purchasing a single item, it is worth checking out as you can save postage costs with the 'deliver to store' option. - massive online portal giving you access to a huge number of bookshops, especially the secondhand and remainded market, for those hard to find titles. Can be outrageously expensive, but I have bought a couple of bargains from this source.

All the big brands and outdoor shops are worth looking at - the fatbirder website has a list. But try Country Innovation as they are the only brand specifically for birdwatching clothing. - 01934 877333. The RSPB sells Country Innovation clothing in the shops at the larger reserves.

Notebooks for my favourite brand - checkout the fatbirder website for others

Check out the fatbirder or websites for listings of manufacturers and shops. I now buy my optics exclusively from the RSPB as I prefer to give them the profit.

This is where I put other interesting websites that don't fit anywhere else!
