The ONLY method to ‘get a ticket to heaven’ is always to realise how bad/sinful we are before a Holy God, and to tell God that I am so sorry for most our wrong/sin/evil, and then to give that up our own life and follow Him with the rest of our day-to-day lives.
So, we are forgiven when we confess our sins, repent as well as believe. Not by the particular ‘good works’ we accomplish for others. We is not saved by doing ‘good works’ for God either. It actually doesn't look very rational. It is possible for God to lie in the 90% that we do not know about.
Some say to me "There is no God!" There's a basic flaw in such a statement - so as to know that there is no god you would have 'all knowledge' and that's unimaginable for any one individual. For an individual to declare that God does not exist, he'd have to be God, to understand that there wasn't any God.
Saying that God doesn't exist may seem tough to some and to others it may sound intellectual but it does not explain the existence of such a highly complicated universe at every level. The water molecule was meant to be one of the first molecules because it was a uncomplicated cell, now it's been discovered with enhanced technology it's highly complicated molecule. That's just water what about a budding flower? What about the human body? What about the human brain? What of the human brain For those who definitely would like to hear, science - zoology, cosmology, botany, biology, chemistry and archaeology, now has a lot more evidence of God than of biological evolution.
